Nov 27, 2025
The City of Greater Sudbury, through the 2025 Greater Sudbury Arts and Culture Grant program, awarded grants to 37 recipient projects and organizations. In total, $587,577 was invested in support of Greater Sudbury’s creative and cultural industry.
“By investing in our creative sector, we’re supporting the talented people who make our city shine, strengthening our local economy, and enhancing quality of life for residents,” said Greater Sudbury Mayor Paul Lefebvre. “These grants help us share Greater Sudbury’s story with the world and continue building a community where people want to live, work, create and stay.”
Since 2005, the City of Greater Sudbury’s Arts and Culture Grant Program has supported the growth and vitality of the local arts sector. The program helps attract and retain creative talent, strengthens cultural development and enhances quality of life in Greater Sudbury. Administered by the Greater Sudbury Development Corporation (GSDC), it has provided nearly $8 million in funding to more than 120 arts and culture organizations. This investment has created jobs for more than 250 artists, fueled hundreds of festivals and delivered an estimated return of $8.32 for every dollar spent.
