- City of Greater Sudbury Donates Boat 22 to Wahnapitae First Nation

Yesterday, Boat 22 was officially delivered to its new home at Wahnapitae First Nation. The vessel, a 2005 Connor Industries Stanley Hull, previously served as a rescue boat on Lake Wanapitei for many years before being decommissioned in 2020 when it was determined to no longer be suitable for water-rescue operations.

- Residents Get First Look at Updated Downtown Master Plan

Today, the City of Greater Sudbury is showcasing the proposed updates for the City’s Downtown Master Plan (DMP ) during two in-person sessions at Place des Arts (the first from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and the second from 5 to 7 p.m.). City staff have been working to make updates to the DMP based on resident feedback from previous events and were pleased to share the results with the community.

The City of Greater Sudbury’s Planning Services department is hosting two public open houses virtually to review changes to the Official Plan and Zoning By-law in support of the Employment Land Strategy. The open houses will take place on Monday, December 15, 2025, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. and 2 to 3:30 p.m.
Residents are invited to attend and learn more about the proposed changes as well as participate in a question-and-answer period. Details on the project and links to both open houses are available on Over To You.
