Celebrate Bike Month in your community!

May 31, 2019

June is Bike Month in Ontario, and the City of Greater Sudbury is encouraging residents to (re)discover the joy of biking.

Bike Month kicks off Saturday, June 1 and continues all month long with dozens of ways to celebrate including community rides, skills development courses and the Kids Bike Exchange.

Bike Month isn’t just for kids, either: Greater Sudbury adults are invited to ride to work on Wednesday, June 12 for the City’s first annual Bike to Work Day.

People who bike to work that morning can stop by the Commuter Café from 7 to 9 a.m. at the Tom Davies Square Courtyard where local agencies, not-for-profit organizations and businesses will be on hand to talk all things cycling in Greater Sudbury. The City will be providing grab-and-go breakfast and Mayor Bigger will officially be proclaiming June as Bike Month. Commuter cyclists can also fill out a ballot for a chance to win prizes generously donated by local businesses!
