Bike Month

Bike Month

Greater Sudbury residents are invited to (re)discover the joy of riding a bike during annual Bike Month celebrations throughout the month of June!

Bike Month kicks off on June 1 and continues all month long with dozens of ways to celebrate, including community rides, and free events like the Kids Bike Exchange.

To get involved, watch this space for a calendar of planned community events to be hosted by the City and its community partners.

May 29 – June 2, 2023 is Bike to School Week!

During the week of May 29 to June 2, students and staff from your school are challenged to bike or scoot to school as many days as they can. Add up the kilometres and see how far your school can travel in a week!

Participating students will be entered into a draw for great prizes, just for getting active, being green and having fun!

Remember, if it’s active travel, it counts!

In partnership with Bike Sudbury, Public Health Sudbury and Districts, and the City of Greater Sudbury, Sessions Ride Company will host a Bike Exchange.

Children can trade in their outgrown bike for a gently used one of the correct size. Children will also receive a helmet if they do not currently own one that fits.

Families who do not have bicycles to trade in may receive a bike by making a token donation to help support the project.
