Lasalle Boulevard, Sudbury- Construction operations for the Maley Drive Extension Project will require lane closures on Lasalle Boulevard between Frood Road and Notre Dame Avenue beginning on Monday, February 19 until Friday, March 30. Work will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and traffic signs will be in place.

CPR Bridge, Copper Cliff- Asphalt repairs will result in a single lane closure on MR 55, 500 m west of Power Street in Copper Cliff on Thursday, February 15. Work will be done from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and one westbound lane will remain open at all times.

Lasalle Boulevard, Sudbury- Maintenance work of an existing water main break will reduce traffic to 2 lanes on Lasalle Boulevard between Roy Street and Barry Downe Road on Wednesday, February 14. Work will be done from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Frood Road, Sudbury- A private contractor will close the southbound curb lane on Frood Road between Kathleen Street and Jean Street on Wednesday, February 14 to allow for tree branch cutting which is interfering with a Hydro line. Work will be done from 9 am to 11 a.m. Flag persons will be on-site directing traffic.

Nickel Street, Sudbury- Nickel Lift Station upgrades will reduce Nickel Street to one lane on Monday, February 12 until Tuesday, April 24. Flag-persons will be on-site during the day and will set-up a yield to on-coming traffic after-hours.

- Chloé LaDuchesse Selected as Greater Sudbury's Fifth Poet Laureate

During her two-year term as Poet Laureate, LaDuchesse will host a weekly CKLU radio show, continue her work with terra north/nord eZine and will be a regular presence at the Greater Sudbury Public Library to reach out to the community. She is particularly committed to heightening the visibility of local Francophone culture and to encouraging greater collaboration between French and English artists.
