The municipal service schedule for Victoria Day on Monday, May 21 is as follows

Maley Drive, Sudbury- Restoration work as part of the Maley Drive Extension Project will close Maley Drive on Thursday, May 17.

Local homeowners with a low or moderate income may be eligible for a forgivable loan of up to $20,000 to perform urgent repairs and renovations.

Falconbridge Road, Sudbury- Asphalt removal and repaving work will close the southbound curb lane on Falconbridge Road at the Hawthorne intersection on Tuesday, May 15. Work will be done from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and traffic control will be in place.

Kingsway, MR55, Brady, Various

Twelve municipal playgrounds, one in each ward, will be renewed and improved this year through a partnership between the City of Greater Sudbury and United Way Centraide North East Ontario/Nord-est l’Ontario. Surveys are available online at overtoyou.greatersudbury.ca and on paper at Greater Sudbury Citizen Service Centres until Friday, May 25 at 4:30 p.m.

Lorne St., Sudbury- A water main installation along the south side of Lorne St. across the CPR right of way will be reduced to one lane in each direction, 30 metres east of Martindale Rd., to 30 metres west of Byng St. on Monday May 14 to Friday, June 8

To ensure the marathon route is ready to go for runners on Sunday, crews will be out during the day sweeping the main marathon route roads including Notre Dame Av., Lasalle Blvd., Falconbridge Rd., Second Av., Atlee Av., Auger Av., and Gemmel St. from Thursday May 10 to Saturday, May 12. Motorists, cyclists, & pedestrians should expect some dust during these sweeping operations. We apologize for any inconvenience this will cause.
