Traffic Update- Elm St., Long Lake Rd., Lorne St., Nickel St. and Westmount Av.

Elm St., Sudbury- A private contractor will close the eastbound curb lane in front of 85 and 251 Elm St. from Monday, May 7 to Wednesday, May 9 for emergency Bell manhole repairs. Work will be done from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Long Lake Road, Sudbury- Restoration and curb repairs will close the south bound curb lane on Long Lake Rd. near the intersection of St. Charles Lake Rd. from Tuesday, May 8 until Monday, July 30.

Lorne St., Sudbury- Installation of a sanitary sewer force main and construction of new concrete curbs and sidewalks will reduce traffic to one lane from Lorne St. to the City of Greater Sudbury Water/Wastewater Treatment Plant on Kelly Lake Rd. from Tuesday, May 8 to Wednesday, October 31. Some additional intermittent traffic stops may occur during the work. Work will be done from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and traffic control measures will be in place.

Nickel St., Copper Cliff- Construction of a sanitary sewer force main will reduce traffic to one lane along Nickel and Balsam Streets from Tuesday, May 8 to Wednesday, October 31. Intermittent traffic stops will occur during the work and traffic control will be in place.

Westmount Av. Sudbury- Storm sewer work, new curbs and existing asphalt removal will reduce traffic to one lane on Westmount Av. from Barry Downe Rd. to Atlee Av. on Wednesday, May 9 to Friday, June 29. Work will be done from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Traffic control will be in place.
