Civil Marriage Ceremonies
Please be advised that civil ceremonies will be taking place at the Lionel E. Lalonde Centre from April 10, 2026 until further notice.
The City of Greater Sudbury offers civil marriage ceremonies to any couple who is looking to have a simple, non-denominational ceremony in either official language.
Ceremonies are performed Friday afternoons by a Deputy City Clerk during the following times:
- 12:45 p.m.
- 1:30 p.m.
- 2:15 p.m.
- 3:00 p.m.
As ceremonies are officiated by the Deputy City Clerks, ceremonies cannot be booked at a private venue and must be booked during one of the timeslots listed above.
The cost of the ceremony is $390. This fee is non-refundable and is payable by debit card or credit card.
