Leader-in-Training Program

Teens who wish to remain active in the Neighbourhood Playground program can gain valuable leadership skills during this four-week program. The program includes workshop training to gain communication, leadership and program planning skills, training sessions with the City of Greater Sudbury Summer Camps Counsellors-in-Training, combined with on-site supervised placement at a neighbourhood playground.

Youth can register to be a Leader In Training at one of our playground program sites for a three-week session.

Ages: 13 to 16 years

Time: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Fee: $220

Register:

• Registration: March 19, 2025
• Register online, at your nearest Citizen Service Centre or dial 311 for the following sessions.
• Spaces available: Seven per session

Dates:

• Session 1: July 7 to 11, 2025

  July 7 to 11, 2025:  In class at Minnow Lake Place (1127 Bancroft Dr.), 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (one hour lunch, please pack a healthy lunch)

  July 14 to August 1, 2025: Onsite at a playground location of your choice, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

• Session 2: July 28 to August 1, 2025
