Celebrate Bike Month 2025 in Greater Sudbury!

This June, join us for a month-long celebration of cycling! Whether you're a seasoned rider or just getting started, Bike Month is the perfect time to (re)discover the joy of biking and explore the many ways cycling can enhance your lifestyle.

From June 1 to 30, Greater Sudbury will host a variety of bicycle-themed events designed to get you on your bike and out enjoying the city. Expect guided bike tours, informative workshops, fun social events, and much more—all aimed at encouraging our community to embrace cycling as a sustainable, healthy, and accessible mode of transportation.

Since the 2017 Transportation Master Plan was approved, Greater Sudbury has made remarkable strides in cycling infrastructure, with close to 150 kilometers of bike-friendly routes now connecting residents across the city. Notable projects like the Paris Notre Dame bikeway, Walford Road, and Kingsway Boulevard highlight our city's commitment to making cycling a safe and enjoyable option for everyone.

Cycling, walking, and transit are key pillars of the City’s Community Energy and Emissions Plan (CEEP), which aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to net-zero by 2050. With transportation responsible for nearly 40% of Greater Sudbury’s emissions, your participation in Bike Month supports a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future for us all.

Stay tuned for an exciting calendar of events to be hosted by the City and our amazing community partners. Check back soon for event details and get ready to ride, connect, and make a difference in Greater Sudbury this Bike Month!
