Bike Month

Celebrate Bike Month 2026 in Greater Sudbury!

This June, join us for a month-long celebration of cycling across Greater Sudbury! Whether you're a seasoned rider or just getting started, Bike Month is the perfect time to (re)discover the joy of biking and explore how cycling can fit into your everyday life.

From June 1 to 30, the City and our community partners will be hosting a variety of cycling events, activities, and challenges designed to get you moving, connect with others, and support active transportation in our community.

With nearly 150 kilometres of bike-friendly routes across the city—and continued investments in infrastructure like the Paris–Notre Dame Bikeway—cycling is becoming an increasingly safe, convenient, and enjoyable way to get around Greater Sudbury.

Cycling, walking, and transit are key pillars of the City’s Community Energy and Emissions Plan (CEEP), which aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to net-zero by 2050. With transportation accounting for nearly 40% of local emissions, choosing to ride your bike—even occasionally—can make a meaningful impact.
