Where to Place Items For Collection

Place approved bags / bundles / containers of leaf and yard trimmings or natural Christmas trees:

• In a visible location on the ground as close as possible to the roadway (not behind shrubs, fences or snow banks)
• On level ground

Place items at the roadside any time after 8:00 p.m. the evening prior to collection and no later than 7 a.m. on your regularly scheduled leaf and yard collection day.

Do not:

• Place items on top of snow banks.  Shovel an area that is flat and place your items there to prevent items from falling, slipping or tipping over. 
• Place items on the sidewalk or travelled roadway.  This area must be kept clear for road or sidewalk maintenance crews. This is especially important during winter months.
