Pumpkins, Tree Fruits and Nuts
Residential and non-residential roadside waste collection services will be rescheduled. Please do not place garbage, green carts or blue boxes at the roadside, as this may impact road clearing efforts. Alternate pickup dates will be communicated once available. We will provide an update once bulky item collection service has been restored.
Due to the winter storm event, furniture, appliance and electronic collection services are also temporarily suspended. Please do not place these items at the roadside, in laneways or on top of snowbanks, as they may impact snow clearing operations.
New Green Cart requests have also been suspended.
All landfill sites and the Recycling Centre are closed.
Crab Apples, Fruits and Nuts from Trees
Place crab apples, other fruits or nuts that have fallen from your trees in a securely tied certified compostable bag inside or beside your Green Cart. Please use the semi-translucent type of certified compostable bag.
If you must use a paper bag, please evidently write APPLES on it and have it separate from any paper Leaf & Yard bags you may also have at the roadside, to help prevent collection issues.
Fruits and nuts are not collected with Leaf and Yard Trimmings.

Pumpkins
If intact, place pumpkins beside your Green Cart. Broken pumpkins must be placed in certified compostable bags inside your Green Cart. Exclude pumpkins that are decorated with non-compostable materials.
