Site Plan Control and Building Permits
If you are applying for a building permit, you might need a Site Plan Control Agreement before a building permit can be issued if:
- your property is in an area subject to the Site Plan Control By-Law,
- what you are proposing is defined as development in The Planning Act,
- a Site Plan Control Agreement is a condition of any rezoning, a minor variance or consent application that you are submitting.
You can apply for a building permit at the same time as you are applying for a site plan control agreement however, you may want to find out what your site plan control agreement will require before you proceed with a building permit application.
