City Announces New Director of Housing Services and Homelessness
Feb 19, 2026
The City of Greater Sudbury is pleased to announce the appointment of Jaclyn Seeler as Director of Housing Services and Homelessness.
Following a recruitment process, Ms. Seeler was selected for the role based on her extensive leadership experience and commitment to building equitable, collaborative and inclusive communities through systemic change and collective impact.
Originally from Midland, Ms. Seeler moved to London in 2005 where she spent 17 years advancing housing stability and homelessness prevention. She began in frontline community service and outreach roles before taking on her first leadership position with the Salvation Army’s Rent Bank program. She later served as a community impact specialist with United Way Elgin Middlesex, overseeing funding for poverty reduction initiatives. As Program Manager and later, Director of Strategic Initiatives, Ms. Seeler played a central role in developing and implementing the Street Level Women at Risk (SLWAR) Housing First model, supporting women experiencing chronic homelessness and survival sex work. Most recently, she served as Supportive Housing Director for Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) Thames Valley Addiction and Mental Health Services, overseeing 17 housing programs across London and surrounding communities.
“Jaclyn’s unwavering commitment to strengthening housing supports in our community, paired with nearly two decades of frontline, strategic and community wide leadership, will bring both strength and heart to this work,” said Tyler Campbell, General Manager of Community Well being. “Jaclyn’s ability to build collaborative, equitable systems – and to champion the voices of those most impacted – will be invaluable as we continue advancing housing stability and well being across our community.”
“I am honoured to join this dedicated team and work alongside a City that is invested in its community,” said Ms. Seeler. “There is a lot of work ahead as individuals and families are struggling to afford basic needs, but I believe with a collective determination to see change for all, the City of Greater Sudbury can make a positive impact in the lives of those who need it most.”
Ms. Seeler begins her new role on March 23, 2026, reporting to the General Manager of Community Well-being.
