2026 Family Day Municipal Service Schedule

There are many indoor and outdoor activities available throughout the city for everyone to enjoy this Family Day long weekend. Reduced rates will be offered at pools, ski hills, and arenas on Monday, February 16, 2026. The Queen's Athletic Skating Oval and Ramsey Lake Skating Path will also be open, weather permitting. For more information on Family Day programming, please visit www.greatersudbury.ca/ HolidayProgramming. 

The following municipal services will be closed to the public for Family Day on Monday, February 16:  

• Tom Davies Square 

• Greater Sudbury Public Library branches (including Citizen Service Centres) 

• Youth Centers and fitness facilities 

• Greater Sudbury Animal Shelter 

The Recycling Centre, landfills, and waste transfer sites will be open. Residential waste collection will not be affected. 

GOVA routes will operate on a holiday service schedule.
