2026 Easter Weekend Municipal Service Schedule

Please note that several municipal services will be closed to the public in observance of Good Friday (Friday, April 3) and Easter Monday (Monday, April 6), 2026:

• Tom Davies Square
• Greater Sudbury Public Library branches (including Citizen Service Centres)
• Youth centers, pools and fitness facilities
• Greater Sudbury Animal Shelter

Waste Services

The Recycling Centre, landfills and the Transfer Site will be closed on Good Friday.

Residential waste collection normally scheduled for Friday, April 3 will take place on Saturday, April 4, 2026.

Easter Monday will not affect waste services or collection.

Residents are encouraged to sign up for Waste Wise reminders to stay informed about potential service changes or visit www.greatersudbury.ca/wastemanagement or Greater Sudbury 24/7 for the most up-to-date information.

GOVA Transit

GOVA routes will operate on a holiday schedule on Good Friday. On Easter Monday, routes will run on a Saturday/Sunday schedule.

311 Services

311 will be available for urgent calls only. The 311 live web chat and e-mail are not answered outside of regular business hours. Register to submit service requests at any time on the Customer Service Portal at 311.greatersudbury.ca or email 311@greatersudbury.ca.
