Sign On to Get Involved! GSU Board of Directors Now Accepting Applications

Applications are now being accepted for a director position with the Board of Directors for Greater Sudbury Utilities (GSU) Inc. and its subsidiary corporations.

The GSU Board is responsible for providing good corporate governance under the Ontario Business Corporations Act and for directing the management of the corporations.

In addition to sound judgment and personal integrity, the qualifications of the candidate should include experience in one of the following areas:

  • Finance and Accounting
  • Human Resources
  • Legal
  • Engineering (particularly electrical)
  • Governance experience is an asset.

The successful applicant may not be a member of City Council or an employee of the City of Greater Sudbury, GSU or GSH. Preference may be given to qualified candidates who are residents of Greater Sudbury or the Municipality of West Nipissing; however, non-residents shall not be excluded from serving as board members.

  • In person at your nearest Greater Sudbury Library branch (including Citizen Service Centres) or at the One-Stop Services counter at Tom Davies Square.

Applications must be received by Clerk’s Services by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, May 2, 2025. They will be forwarded to GSU and their Nominating Committee will appoint the new member.
