Ryan Heights Youth Centre Marks Reopening with New Equipment and Upgrades
Sep 4, 2025
The Ryan Heights Youth Centre (736 Bruce Ave., Sudbury) held an open house today to celebrate recent upgrades and the addition of new equipment.
Over the summer, the centre received a refresh that included a mural on the interior walls and new flooring. Additions also included a television, Nintendo Switch, hockey sticks, basketball equipment and rollerblades.
The improvements were made possible through donations from several sponsors: Golf Marathon Sudbury, SP Paris Construction Inc., Auto Depot Sudbury, The Monique Legault Studio and Rona + Sudbury.
Councillor Parent and staff from Parks and Recreation Services attended the event to help mark the reopening and thank sponsors.
More than 30 youth, ages 10 to 18, regularly attend the Ryan Heights Youth Centre, which is open Monday to Friday from 3 to 6 p.m.
There are six City of Greater Sudbury youth centres operating from September to June. They are free to attend and offer safe, supervised spaces where youth can drop in and take part in educational programs and leisure activities.
