Municipal Lifeguards Resume Regular Hours on Wednesday, August 13

Regular hours for lifeguard supervision at municipal beaches will resume and cooling centres will close on Wednesday, August 13. The City of Greater Sudbury extended hours for lifeguard supervision and opened community centres earlier this week in response to an extended heat warning issued by Public Health Sudbury & Districts.

Starting Wednesday, August 13, lifeguards are on duty at municipal beaches seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Greater Sudbury Public Libraries are open during regular operating hours and may be used to shelter from the heat.
