Have Your Say in City's Updated French Language Services Policy

The City of Greater Sudbury is undertaking a second round of community engagement to help complete its updated French Language Services Policy. This phase of consultation will gather feedback on the draft revised policy (first presented to City Council in 2024) in order to prepare a final version for Council’s consideration in March 2026.

The City developed the current French Language Services Policy in 2001. To modernize and enhance the delivery of French-language services, engagement and data collection were carried out in 2023, resulting in the draft revised policy. Council has since directed staff to conduct a second round of engagement before the policy is finalized.

To ensure all residents have an opportunity to share their feedback, the City is launching an online survey from November 24 to December 12, 2025. To complete the survey, visit https://overtoyou.greatersudbury.ca/french-language-services-policy-review. Residents can also call 311 to complete the survey by phone.
