Community invited to help shape the future of Downtown Sudbury
Jun 16, 2025
Make your mark and help shape the future of downtown! Join us on Wednesday, June 25 for one – or both – of our drop-in sessions to explore the new proposed conceptual plan for the updated Downtown Sudbury Master Plan (DMP).
The conceptual plan is a “map” showing about 50 downtown projects or initiatives. Review the concepts, share your thoughts and drop a pin on the map to show us what’s most important to you.
- 1 to 3 p.m. in the Foyer of Tom Davies Square
- 6 to 8 p.m. in Provincial Boardrooms C and D at Tom Davies Square
The review of the DMP is now in Phase 3 of 4, with final completion expected in late 2025. Originally approved by Council in 2012, the DMP is being updated to reflect the community’s evolving needs. Several key projects, including the McEwen School of Architecture and Place des Arts, have already been completed, while others, like the Cultural Hub and Event Centre, are still in progress.
Whether you're a resident, business owner or simply passionate about downtown Sudbury, your voice matters. Let's work together to strengthen the vibrant heartbeat of Northern Ontario!
