Nov 6, 2025

The City of Greater Sudbury is pleased to announce the promotion of Nicole Leclair to the role of Director of Long-Term Care Services.

Following a recruitment process, Ms. Leclair was selected for the permanent role based on her extensive experience, leadership and commitment to resident-centred care. She brings over a decade of leadership within Pioneer Manor, serving as Manager of Resident Care, Resident Care Coordinator, and most recently as Acting Director. Her hands-on understanding of both the operational and human aspects of long-term care, combined with her Executive Master of Health Administration, has earned her recognition as a forward-thinking and compassionate leader across the organization and the broader community.

“Ms. Leclair brings a wealth of experience and a genuine passion for improving the lives of residents,” said Tyler Campbell, General Manager of Community Well-being. “Her collaborative leadership style and dedication to excellence make her an exceptional fit for this role. We are confident she will continue to elevate the quality of care at Pioneer Manor.”

In her new role, Ms. Leclair will oversee the City’s Long-Term Care Services department, which includes Pioneer Manor – one of the largest municipally operated long-term care homes in northern Ontario, currently home to 433 residents. She will lead ongoing efforts to enhance care delivery, support staff development and guide the facility’s major redevelopment project aimed at modernizing infrastructure and improving resident outcomes.

“I’m honoured to take on this role and continue working alongside a dedicated team of professionals,” said Ms. Leclair. “Together, we will build on our successes and ensure Pioneer Manor remains a place of comfort, dignity and exceptional care for all residents.”

Ms. Leclair began her new role effective October 23, 2025.
