Background
In 2018, City Council approved a plan to renew 58 municipal playgrounds identified as being in poor condition. To date, 42 playgrounds have received upgrades, such as new play structures, landscaping and amenities. During the 2024-2025 budget process, City Council approved the funding draw from Parks reserves over the next four years to advance the remaining 16 sites requiring renewal.
