Residents Invited to Provide Feedback on Community Action Network Program
Jun 5, 2024
The City of Greater Sudbury is undertaking a review of Community Action Networks (CANs) to ensure the program continues to meet the needs of the community. The review is outlined in the 2019-2027 Strategic Plan by informing the development of the City’s community engagement strategy.
For over 15 years, CANs have brought people together to build healthy communities. CAN volunteers work with the City to identify the needs of the community and take action to implement projects and initiatives which have a positive impact on the quality of life in their neighbourhood. There are currently 20 CANs across the city.
To ensure CANs are reaching their fullest and intended potential, we are looking for resident input to better understand general awareness of the program, community experiences with the CANs and how engagement can be improved.
Residents are invited to attend one of our upcoming in person pop-ups sessions:
- Saturday, June 8 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Howard Armstrong Recreation Centre
- Saturday, June 8 from noon to 2 p.m. at Chelmsford Public Library and Citizen Service Centre
