Public Hearing on Amendments Allowing up to Four Units per Property

A public hearing will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, December 9, 2024, regarding proposed amendments that would allow the development of up to four units on a property, generally without the need for additional rezoning.
On November 12, 2024, City Council directed staff to present amendments to the Official Plan and Zoning Bylaw that, if approved, would allow up to four units on properties in residential areas where municipal water and sewer services are available.
Anyone interested in commenting on the proposed amendments can participate in the public hearing in one of three ways:
- Attend in person: Attend the meeting on Monday, December 9, 2024, at 1 p.m. in the Council Chamber, Tom Davies Square, 200 Brady St., Sudbury.
- Submit comments in writing: Submit written comments to any Citizen Service Centre, Greater Sudbury Public Library branch or the One-Stop Services Counter located at Tom Davies Square, 200 Brady St., Sudbury, or by email to clerks@greatersudbury.ca. Comments received by 4 p.m. on December 6, 2024, will be provided to Members of the Planning Committee and Council prior to the meeting.
