Older Adult Property Tax Assistance Credit Updates

Dec 6, 2024

Cheques Available for Pickup

Due to the ongoing postal strike, Older Adult Property Tax Assistance Credit cheques, formerly the Elderly Property Tax Assistance Rebate, will be made available for pickup to ensure residents have timely access to their refunds.

Starting December 9, 2024, cheques can be picked up from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the One-Stop Services counter at Tom Davies Square. The first 30 minutes of underground parking is free. Free transit will also be available to and from the location from December 9 to 13, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Residents are asked to inform the driver that they are traveling to pick up their Older Adult Property Tax Assistance Credit cheque.

Residents who are unable to pick up their cheque at Tom Davies Square are asked to call 311 to make alternate arrangements, including the option to pick up the cheque at another Citizen Service Centre throughout the community. All cheques that are not picked up will be mailed once the postal strike has ended.
