City Names Interim General Manager of Community Development

Brendan Adair will serve as the City of Greater Sudbury’s Interim General Manager of Community Development, effective July 22, 2024.

The Community Development portfolio includes Housing Services, Housing Operations, Long-Term Care Services, Children and Social Services, Leisure Services and Transit Services,

Since joining the organization in September 2013, Brendan has held various positions in Corporate Security, Provincial Offences Court, Bylaw Services and Fire Services, and acted a special projects manager for complex projects within the City’s Transit Action Plan. He has been Director of Transit Services since June 2021, overseeing the direction and operation of GOVA Transit.

Steve Jacques, who has held the position since September 2019, is leaving the City to take on a leadership role with the Region of Peel. Brendan will maintain the interim position until a permanent replacement is recruited.
