Submit Your Feedback on Next Phase of Playground Revitalization

Apr 19, 2022

Eight municipal playgrounds will be renewed in 2022 through the third phase of the City of Greater Sudbury’s Municipal Playground Revitalization initiative, in partnership with FedNor Canada (Community Revitalization Fund).

In 2018, City Council approved a plan to renew 58 municipal playgrounds identified as being in poor condition. To date, 26 municipal playgrounds have undergone replacement/renewal, including new play structures, landscaping and amenities.

Share your ideas for the next phase of playground additions and improvements at a neighbourhood open house at each of the eight playgrounds.

All open houses will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. Dates and locations are as follows:

April 20, 2022:
Grandview Playground, Sudbury - Cedar Park Playground Fieldhouse

April 21, 2022:
Gil Loop Tot Lot, Onaping - Onaping Community Centre
Simon Lake Park, Naughton - Simon Lake Fieldhouse

April 26, 2022:
Brighton Tot Lot, Garson - Garson Arena Hall
Lebel Playground, Sudbury - Rosemarie Playground Fieldhouse
Rosemarie Playground, Sudbury - Rosemarie Playground Fieldhouse

April 27, 2022:

St. Charles Lake Tot Lot, Sudbury - St. Charles Lake Tot Lot Gazebo.

If you are unable to attend an open house, complete a survey online at overtoyou.greatersudbury.ca or call 311.

Feedback will be accepted until May 8, 2022.

The completion of improvements to these eight playgrounds in 2022 will bring the total number of playgrounds renewed through this program to 34. The balance of the identified playground locations is scheduled for renewal in future phases.
