Deadline Approaching For Lively/Walden Recreation Survey

Jun 30, 2022

Residents have until July 8 at 4:30 p.m. to submit their ideas for recreation in the Lively/Walden area.

The second survey is an opportunity for the community to have their say on how $4 million from the sale of Meatbird Lake Park should be reinvested into recreation opportunities.

Proceeds of the $4 million sale are being held in the Capital Financing Reserve Fund – General, and are dedicated to the improvement of leisure infrastructure in the Walden (Lively) area.

Have your say and complete the second survey at overtoyou.greatersudbury.ca/livelywalden, call 311 or request a paper copy at any Citizen Service Centre throughout the city.

This marks the second community engagement opportunity for the Lively/Walden recreation project. The City will continue to reach out to the community as the project progresses.

The responses collected will be shared to provide insight to the Lively Recreation Advisory Panel as they work with City staff to develop more specific recommendations for Council’s consideration about what type of amenity(ies) should be considered, and where they should be developed.
