GOVA Transit Holiday Schedule

Although the overnight parking ban on roadways is now in effect, an exemption allows vehicles to park on local roadways and in municipal parking lots overnight on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.

The change is a result of a resolution brought forward by Greater Sudbury Mayor Brian Bigger and endorsed by City Council as an initiative to help prevent impaired driving. Residents are asked to be mindful of any snow removal requirements on these nights.

On New Year’s Eve, residents can park their vehicle and ride GOVA Transit free of charge after 10 p.m. The Transit service schedule has been extended until after 2 a.m. for celebrations.

GOVA Zone hours will be extended where available to match the additional public transit schedule.

Buses will follow a Sunday service schedule on Boxing Day, December 26 and a holiday service schedule on New Year’s Day, January 1

A reduced service schedule will be in effect on Christmas Eve, December 24. GOVA Transit does not run on Christmas Day, December 25. For hours of departure and more information visit www.greatersudbury.ca/transit or call 705-675-3333. To view real time bus arrivals, visit mybus.greatersudbury.ca
