City of Greater Sudbury Opens Cooling Centres

Greater Sudbury Public Libraries and Citizen Service Centres will remain open until 8 p.m. this evening, July 5. Residents who need to escape the heat are welcome to visit their nearest library free of charge.

Lifeguard supervision has been extended to 9 p.m. this evening, July 5, at seven municipal beaches.

Splash Pads are open daily from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Libraries that are normally closed on Fridays through the summer will open between 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. in Azilda, Coniston and Copper Cliff.

The Levack/Onaping Library will open between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Libraries that normally close at 5 p.m. on Fridays will remain open until 8 p.m. in Capreol, Chelmsford, Dowling, Garson, Lively, Sudbury (Main Branch), New Sudbury, South End and Hanmer (Valley East Branch).
