Ball fields in the City of Greater Sudbury are ready for another season

Play Ball!! Ball fields in the City of Greater Sudbury are ready for another season starting on Monday, May 20, with the exception of fields at the Centennial Community Centre and Arena in Hanmer. Staff are monitoring ground conditions at the Centennial fields and will advise when conditions are dry enough to perform maintenance.

It is anticipated soccer fields will be ready for play during the week of June 3, dependent on weather conditions. The artificial turf at the James Jerome Sports Complex on Paris Street reopened on May 5.

The City of Greater Sudbury, in partnership with the Fabio Belli Foundation, is installing artificial turf at the Terry Fox Sports Complex on LaSalle Boulevard. The turf is scheduled to open on the Field 1 infield in early June, weather permitting.
