Nov 26, 2018

The Post-Election Accessibility Report is now available online at www.greatersudbury.ca/elections

The City Clerk is responsible for conducting Municipal and School Board Elections and is required to prepare a report on the identification, removal, and prevention of barriers that affect electors and candidates with disabilities and make the report available to the public.

This report outlines the actions taken to ensure that all voters and candidates were fully able to participate in the 2018 Municipal and School Board Election and also contains voter turnout and voter demographic statistics.

81.79% of all electronic ballots cast in this election were cast online from voters’ own devices and not at City of Greater Sudbury Electronic Voting Locations or Voter Help Centres.

Voter turnout for this year’s election was 45% in comparison to the provincial average of 37.61%, with the highest voter turnout by age group being 65-74 years of age at 63.14%.
