Traffic Update- Paris Street, Lorne Street and Fisher Wavy Trail, Pedestrian Underpass and Regent Street

**Update** Elgin Street and Riverside Pedestrian Underpass, Sudbury- The Elgin Street and Riverside pedestrian overpass ramp will be open for the upcoming weekend for the Santa Claus parade. The ramp will close again Monday, November 20 for rehabilitation work that will be ongoing until the end of December. Until the ramp work is complete and to ensure the safety of those who use the tunnel and for the safety of the construction workers the area needs to be temporarily closed to the public. The stairs and the underpass tunnel  will remain open during ramp repairs.


The public is encouraged to use the overpass bridge from Elgin Street at Nelson Street to Edmund Street while work is being complete.

Paris Street, Sudbury- Roof work will close the southbound curb lane on Paris Street between Larch Street and Brady Street on Monday, November 13. Work will be done between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Access to the garage will be maintained.

Lorne Street, Sudbury- A private contractor will close the southbound curb lane at 391 Lorne Street on Tuesday, November 14 to sample monitoring wells. Once wells are sampled they will re-open the southbound lane and continue work in the northbound inside lane. Work will be done from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Fisher Wavey Trail, Sudbury- Gatchell Trunk sanitary sewer main flushing will close the Fisher Wavy trail between Kelly lake Road and Martindale Road on Monday, November 13 and Tuesday November 14.

Elgin Street and Riverside Pedestrian Underpass, Sudbury- The rehabilitation of the Elgin Street and Riverside pedestrian underpass will begin on Monday, November 13. Ongoing work will close the ramp section of the underpass until work is complete on Sunday, December 31. Pedestrians are asked to use the staircase on Elgin Street until further notice. Work will be done from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Rehabilitation work will include concrete repairs, guardrail replacement, handrail replacement, concrete barrier wall replacement and concrete stairs and ramp rehabilitation.

Regent Street, Sudbury- Concrete structure and asphalt work will close the intersection of Martindale Road and Walford Road on Regent Street on Tuesday, November 14. Northbound traffic along Regent Street and westbound traffic along Walford Road will not have access to Martindale Road. A paid duty officer will be on-site directing traffic. Work will be done from 9 p.m. to 12 a.m.
