Traffic Update- Elm Street, Lapointe Street, MR 80/Notre Dame Avenue

Elm Street, Sudbury- a delivery of an HVAC system by a private contractor will close both westbound lanes on Elm Street at the Laurentian University McEwan School of Architecture on Wednesday, November 29 at 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, November 30. Traffic will be diverted into the eastbound lane.

Lapointe Street, Hanmer- Installation of new water and sanitary sewer services will close Lapointe Street between Centennial Drive and Glenn Street beginning Wednesday, November 29 at 7 a.m. until Thursday, November 30 at 7 p.m. Local traffic and emergency vehicles will have access at all times.
 

MR 80/Notre Dame Avenue, Sudbury- Construction work leading up to the traffic switching over to the new MR 80/Notre Dame alignment will impact traffic in both south bound and north bound lanes intermittently beginning on Wednesday, November 29 to Saturday December 2. In order to complete the work quickly and efficiently work will take place for 24 hours per day. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes if possible, as traffic will be affected during the rush hour periods.

The posted regulatory speed limit has been reduced to 60/km/h. Motorists are urged to slow down through the construction zone
