This Week at The Market: Free Garlic Recipes, Local Beans, and Sudbury Guitar Trio

Aug 24, 2017

York Street Location – Thursday, August 24, from. to 7 p.m.

Did you know the Market is the place to get the absolute freshest produce available? Most farmers pick early in the day for the afternoon Market so locally grown veggies are at the peak of flavour and nutrition. All your favourite summer produce: corn, nectarines, peaches and tomatoes are bursting with colour and flavour.

As vendors are setting up between 2  and 3 p.m., we ask that vehicles and shoppers wait until 3 p.m. to visit the Thursday Market to ensure everyone’s safety and the best possible shopping experience.

Elgin Street Location – Saturday, August 26, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Look for beans, beans and more beans on Saturday as this crop has been thriving during our cool, wet summer. All the flavours of summer are here including: corn, tomatoes, nectarines and more!

At 11 a.m. join us for a free concert by the Sudbury Guitar Trio. Not to be missed, this group performs familiar contemporary pieces, as well as engaging classical tunes, which will delight audiences of all ages.

This Saturday the Market will have free garlic recipes available. Stop by the Greater Sudbury Tourism booth for your free copy, provided by the Toronto Garlic Festival.

Remember, not all vendors can accept plastic, so don’t forget to bring cash for all the gifts, treats and treasures available at both Market locations!

The Market is open rain or shine at both locations. Check our Facebook page @GreaterSudburyMarket for more vendor features each week.
