Program Encourages Youth to "Ride the Bus on Us" this Summer

The City of Greater Sudbury's "Ride the Bus on Us" initiative will continue this summer for its ninth consecutive year. This popular program is designed to encourage young people to take part in community programs and to familiarize themselves with the public transit system.

Local youth aged 12 to 24 are invited to present their library card (or bring similar identification to get a library card) at any branch of the Greater Sudbury Public Library to request a free five-ride passes for Greater Sudbury Transit. Youth can access up to two passes. July passes are now available on a first come, first served basis. August passes will be available beginning August 1. Five-ride passes will also be distributed to youth through local social service agencies.
