Lane Closures for Maley Drive Construction – Update April 7

Motorists are advised of traffic delays on M.R. 80, from Turner Avenue north for 2.2 kilometres, for construction of the Maley Drive extension. Lane closures will be in effect Mondays to Fridays from April 10 to 28.

To reduce traffic congestion, lane closures will alternate to accommodate peak times of use:

• Northbound lanes will be reduced to one lane from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
• Southbound lanes will be reduced to one lane from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Blasting operations will continue to stop both northbound and southbound traffic for approximately five to 10 minutes, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Motorists are reminded that the speed limit in the construction zone is 60 km/hr and will be strictly enforced.
