Residents Advised of Potential for Low Water Pressure January 13

Residents of Coniston, Wahnapitae, Markstay and Sudbury, including New Sudbury, may notice low water pressure between 9 a.m. and Noon on Wednesday, January 13, during a scheduled temporary shutdown of the water main feed from the Wanapitei Water Treatment Plant.

Residents will continue to draw municipal water from the Ellis Reservoir. To compensate for limited water supply, residents are asked to reduce water consumption whenever possible.

Residents who notice discoloured water once water pressure is restored are asked to run the cold water tap closest to their water meter for several minutes until water is clear of any sediment from water pipes. In the event of prolonged discoloration or low water pressure, residents are asked to call 3-1-1.
