Palestinian Flag will be Raised on Bridge of Nations

Members of the Palestinian community of Greater Sudbury presented a cheque for $1,200 to Deputy Mayor Al Sizer and the Bridge of Nations Committee co-chairs, Dan Lee and Ursula Sauve. The money will be held in trust by the City of Greater Sudbury to reserve a spot on the bridge for the Palestinian flag in the third and final phase of the Bridge of Nations. The State of Palestine will join Barbados, Burundi, Indonesia, Nepal and Tunisia. There will be a celebration and official flag-raising on June 30, 2016.
