McIntosh Apples, Winter Squash and Energy Bars Available at The Market this weekend!

Sep 1, 2016

As another wonderful summer at The Market ends, we’re getting ready for fall by offering all your comfort food favorites! Stop by this weekend to grab some local tomatoes for a hearty sauce or some Ontario McIntosh apples for a warm apple pie.

In a pickle about what to serve with these comfort meals? Our seasonal veggies are also making a comeback at the Market this weekend. We have bushels of cucumbers just waiting to be pickled and fresh winter squash are slowly coming in!

The end of summer means it's time to go back to school and our vendors have your lunchtime solutions! Check out our vendor Thrive Naturally for healthy and plant based energy bars that are perfect for lunch boxes! All of the bars are made in Greater Sudbury without preservatives. For more information, check out their Facebook page www.facebook.com/ThriveNaturallySudbury/.

A Sudbury summer send-off wouldn’t be complete without a visit to Ribfest! The festival will be taking place downtown from September 2  to 4 so while you’re in the area, be sure to make a pit stop at The Market!

The Market is your destination for fresh air and fresh food this season. Enjoy live entertainment, fresh local produce, unique gift ideas and much more. The Market is located next to the CP/Via Rail Station at 233 Elgin St. in downtown Sudbury, and is open every weekend rain or shine, Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
