Greater Sudbury Development Corporation Seeks Board Members

The Greater Sudbury Development Corporation (GSDC), a not-for-profit board tasked with supporting economic development in the City of Greater Sudbury, is currently seeking three citizens for appointment to its Board of Directors. Citizens with an interest in community economic development are invited to apply by Friday, April 1, 2016.

Working with the Director of Economic Development, the role of the GSDC Board of Directors is to strengthen and enhance economic development within the City of Greater Sudbury to achieve the goals identified in From the Ground Up - Greater Sudbury's Community Economic Development Strategic Plan. The Board is particularly interested in recruiting members that represent the strategic sectors identified in the plan as well as reflecting our community's linguistic and cultural diversity.

GSDC Board of Directors meets once a month, starting at 11:30 a.m., for approximately 1.5 to 2.5 hours. The Board also has a number of subcommittees that meet throughout the year. These appointments are for a three-year term.
