Traffic and Water Update - September 18

Elgin Street/Elm Street: Elgin Street will be closed for water main and storm sewer work on the south side of the intersection, overnight from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., from September 22 through to September 25. Elgin Street, north of Elm Street to Beech Street, will be closed. One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained. Access to Elgin Street, south of Elm Street will be maintained. Access to businesses will be maintained. Police will be on site, directing traffic.

Highway 69 North (MR 80)/Main Street (MR 15), Val Caron: Paving operations at the intersection of Highway 69 North and Main Street in Val Caron have been completed. Line painting will take place overnight from Monday, September 21 to Wednesday, September 23, starting at 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. Police will be on site, directing traffic. 

Main Street (MR 15), Blezard Valley: Installation of cross culverts will close Main Street in Blezard Valley, between Seguin Street and Montée Rouleau, starting on Monday, September 21 to Wednesday, September 20. Work hours will be between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Traffic will be maintained with one lane of traffic alternating in both directions at the culvert locations.

Culver Crescent: Sanitary sewer upgrades will close Culver Crescent, between Field Street and Access Road, starting at 7 a.m. on Monday, September 21. Work is expected to last approximately two weeks. Access for local traffic and emergency services will be available via either Field Street or Access Road, pending work location.

The City will be installing a new water meter on the water main to Markstay on September 22. The work will begin at 8 a.m. and be completed by 4 p.m. Residents should not be without water during the work. Residents of Markstay may experience lower water pressure and possible discoloured water during the time the work is being completed and for a short time afterwards.
