Water Update:

Mont Adam and Sunrise Ridge: A planned water outage, scheduled for Tuesday, August 4, starting at 9 a.m., will affect residents in the area of Mont Adam and Sunrise Ridge. The outage is required for the installation of a valve chamber on the municipal trunk water main. Residents expected to be affected are being notified of the outage, which should last no longer than 24 hours. The City thanks residents for their patience and cooperation. Residents in the area, including the Flour Mill, Donovan and West End, may notice discoloured water and pressure fluctuations throughout the day.

New Sudbury, Coniston, Wahnapitae, Markstay: Maintenance work at the Wanapitei Water Treatment Plant will result in a period of limited water availability and possibly temporary low water service pressure. The work is tentatively scheduled August 4, 6, and 11. When water service is restored, residents in New Sudbury, Coniston, Wahnapitae, and Markstay may notice discoloured water.

To clear discoloured water, residents are asked to run the cold water tap that is closest to their water meter for approximately 15 minutes to clear sediments from house hold plumbing. A prolonged period of discoloured water or low water pressure should be reported to the City of Greater Sudbury by dialing 3-1-1.
