Summer skating, Shinny and Ice Time Available at Gerry McCrory Sports Complex

The City of Greater Sudbury is pleased to announce that summer programs and ice time are now available at the Gerry McCrory Countryside arena, providing opportunities for residents to book a birthday party, go for an afternoon skate or play some adult shinny hockey.  

Public Skating:

Sunday: 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

May 3 to August 30

(Closed on July 5 and August 9)

Skaters under the age of 12 years must be under the supervision of an adult. CSA approved helmets are strongly recommended for all participants.

Summer Adult Shinny Hockey:

Sunday: 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

May 3 to August 30

(Closed on July 5 and August 9)

Participants must be 19 years or older. Full hockey equipment including a CSA approved helmet is strongly recommended for all participants.

Summer Ice:

Child/Junior/Youth $220 per hour

Adult $285 per hour

Insurance costs are extra.

Fee of $215 includes:

50 minutes of ice time

Use of the gallery for 1 hour before or after the booking

Insurance coverage

Full equipment including a CSA approved helmet is strongly recommended for all participants. One adult supervisor required on the ice per every 10 children.

The City of Greater Sudbury will begin promoting available ice and special offers this fall 2015. Special offers do not apply to association ice and ice time availability will be from October 3, 2015 through March 31, 2016 only.
