Draft Transportation Master Plan Review Deadline Extended

The City of Greater Sudbury has extended the deadline for residents who would like to comment on the draft Transportation Master Plan, to 4:30 p.m. on Friday, August 28, 2015.

To review the draft plan and submit your comments electronically, please visit www.greatersudbury.ca/transportation. To submit a paper copy of your comments, you may pick up a form at any of the City's Citizen Service Centres and Libraries

The next steps for the Transportation Master Plan are as follows:

Step 1

. Compile public comments and staff response;

. Present to Council for input and discussion in September/October;

Step 2

. Revise Transportation Study to reflect public and Council feedback;

. Present to Council for approval by end of year;

Step 3

. Advertise Notice of Completion for 30 days;

. Include in Official Plan.

The objectives of this study are to develop a plan that supports the transportation vision and principles through improvement of the existing road network, enhancement and expansion of active transportation facilities; and the incorporation and development of additional transportation policies.

Once finalized, the Transportation Master Plan will be appended to the City of Greater Sudbury's Official Plan.
