Deadline Approaching for Greater Sudbury Arts and Culture Grant Applications

The Greater Sudbury Development Corporation (GSDC) invites arts and culture organizations to complete a grant application for 2015. Applications may be completed online at www.investsudbury.ca Deadline for submission is Thursday, March 19, 2015.

In order to apply for 2015 funding, applicants must attend one of three information sessions scheduled for January 20, February 11 and March 5 at Tom Davies Square. Registration and times are available at www.investsudbury.ca

The combined budget for two funding streams, “Project Grants” and “Operating Grants”, was $624,563 in 2014. The combined amount in 2015 will be determined following completion of the municipal budget process.

Eligible requests under Project Grants include special or one-time activities or exhibits, skills development and acquisition of new equipment. Operating Grants support organizations that have an ongoing presence in the city and an established track record of success.

Arts and culture grant programs have been established by Greater Sudbury Council to foster growth and development of local arts and culture.  Applications will be assessed on the basis of artistic/cultural merit, organizational/financial health and impact to the community.
