City of Greater Sudbury Honours Its Volunteers
Apr 17, 2015
The Greater Sudbury Civic Awards, which recognize individuals and groups who consistently give back to the community, were presented to two youth recipients, five groups and 13 individuals in a ceremony at Tom Davies Square last night. Civic Awards promote and reward leadership, humanitarian service, and enrichment of the human spirit through volunteerism and community involvement.
“Tonight, we honour a group of individuals who, through their ongoing mentorship are helping to make our community better,” said Greater Sudbury Mayor, Brian Bigger. “Their volunteerism reminds us that we all have an opportunity to use our skills and interests to help others in order to build a more livable community.”
