Celebrate Halloween for the Final Weekend at The Market: October 24 and 25

Oct 21, 2015

Calling all ghosts and ghouls! The Market’s final Saturday of operation for the season is sure to be a terrifying one. With activities for the whole family, this is a great way to start the spooky festivities leading up to Halloween.  Starting at 10 a.m. Sam and Kierra will host Zombeading, a mix between Zombies and beading craft. Also, there will be an interactive science workshop for kids courtesy of Let’s Talk Science.  Double Frosted will also be on site at 10:30 a.m. for creepy cupcake decorating. Starting at 11:00 a.m. the Greater Sudbury Library will be hosting a spooky storytelling and Chelsea Taylor will be providing her professional photography services to take some frightful family and friend photos in the haunted vendor booth.  At noon, to round off the festivities, there will be a costume parade around the market, and there will be treats to all those who participate.

Singer/songwriter Andy Lowe takes the stage on Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Also, the City is asking for you to provide feedback about your experience at the Market by filling out the 2015 Customer Service Survey. You can fill it out online at www.greatersudbury.ca/surveys. Paper copies are also available at The Market on Saturday and Sunday.

The Market is your destination for fresh air and fresh food this season. Enjoy live entertainment, fresh local produce, unique gift ideas and much more. The Market is located next to the CP/Via Rail Station at 233 Elgin St. in downtown Sudbury, and is open every weekend rain or shine, Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
